Privacy policy

Last updated: 12 October 2026

This policy explains what personal data Deepnia ("we") collects when you use the website, the app and the tools at deepnia.com, why, who receives it, how long we keep it and what your rights are.

In short: we use your data to run your account, make your creations, take your payments and keep the service safe. We do not sell your data. Audience-measurement cookies are only set if you accept them. The one exception, outside the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland: the Meta pixel, which measures our ads, loads when you arrive, and you can decline it.

1. Who is responsible

Deepnia is responsible for the processing described in this policy (the data controller).

Contact: support@deepnia.com.

2. The data we collect

  • Account: your e-mail address and your password (stored only in irreversibly hashed form) or, if you continue with Google, the name, e-mail address, profile picture and account identifier Google shares with your permission. Your username, display name and picture if you add them, and your language and currency.
  • Profile: your first and last name, country and WhatsApp number, and your answers to the welcome questions (how you heard of us, what you want to create, how often, your line of business).
  • Your content: the prompts and texts you write, the files you add (images, videos, audio, documents, links to websites), the voice recordings you provide to clone a voice, the photos and videos of people you animate, your creations and projects, and your conversations with the AI Agent, including voice messages, which are turned into text.
  • Purchases: your orders, amounts, currency, payment method and status, and your credit balance and its history. At checkout you give your name, e-mail address, phone number and country, which go to the payment provider. We never see or store your card number.
  • Social and ad accounts (deepnia.com only): the names, identifiers, pictures and links of the accounts you connect; the posts you schedule (media, captions, times) and their statistics (views, likes, comments, shares, followers…); for ads, your ad accounts, budgets, targeting, spend and results. We never receive your passwords for those networks.
  • Notifications: if you allow them, your browser's notification address and keys, a device label, the browser's description, your language, your time zone and your notification preferences.
  • Technical and security data: IP address, browser type, request times, the result of an automated check against bots, and technical error reports. We use your IP address to suggest your country at checkout, to protect the service and, depending on your choice, to measure our ads (section 3); we do not store it in your account.
  • Referrals: if you arrive through a referral link, its code and, once you sign up, who referred you and the rewards earned.
  • The messages you send to support.

3. Why we use it

In brackets, the legal basis of each use under the GDPR and similar laws.

  • To create and run your account and the tools you use, including sending your requests to the AI providers that make your creations and keeping the results (performance of our contract with you).
  • To sell credits and subscriptions, keep your balance, give your credits back when a generation fails, and keep our accounts (contract; legal obligations).
  • To publish to the social networks you connect, and to create and follow your ads, when you ask us to (contract).
  • To send you service e-mails: sign-in codes, reminders before a pass ends, notices about an incident that affected your creations (contract; legitimate interest).
  • To send you news about Deepnia by e-mail; each one has a link to stop receiving them (legitimate interest).
  • To protect the service and its users: preventing fraud, bots and abuse of welcome offers or referrals, and enforcing our terms (legitimate interest; legal obligations).
  • To find and fix errors and understand how the service is used overall (legitimate interest).
  • To measure the site's audience with cookies, only if you accept them (consent).
  • To measure how well our ads on Meta work with the Meta pixel: pages viewed, offers viewed, checkouts started and purchases (amount, currency, order number), with the identifiers in the _fbp and _fbc cookies, your IP address and your browser, which Meta receives directly. Outside the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the pixel loads when you arrive and stops if you decline it (legitimate interest); in those countries, it loads only with your consent (consent).
  • To count purchases in our measurement tool: for each order, its number, amount, currency, payment method and the credits bought, without your name, e-mail or phone (legitimate interest).
  • To measure how well our ads on Meta (Facebook, Instagram) work: for each purchase (credits, subscription or course), we send Meta the amount, currency and what was bought, with your e-mail address and account identifier in hashed (irreversibly encoded) form, your browser type and, for a course purchase, your first and last names in the same form. Unless you declined, we add your IP address and the _fbp and _fbc cookie identifiers read when the checkout started; in the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, only with your consent. We delete these as soon as they are sent, after 30 days at most (legitimate interest).
  • To comply with the law and defend our rights (legal obligations; legitimate interest).

We do not sell your personal data, we do not use your creations in our advertising without your permission, and we make no decision with legal or similarly significant effects on you based solely on automated processing.

4. How AI processing works

When you start a generation, your request and the files it needs are sent to the provider that runs the model or step involved: image, video, voice, music, writing, transcription, document and website reading, or video editing. The models we use are developed by, among others, Google, ByteDance (Seedance), OpenAI and Anthropic. The provider returns the result, which we keep in your account.

Providers use your data to produce the result. Some keep requests for a limited time under their own terms, for example to detect abuse. Deepnia does not train any AI model on your content.

Voices: to clone a voice, you confirm that it is your own voice or that you have permission to use it. The recording is sent to the voice provider to create the voice model. Recordings that are not used to create a voice are deleted about 24 hours after upload. You can delete most cloned voices from your account; for the others, write to us and we delete them.

Faces: when you animate a photo or create a video with a person in it, the image and the audio are sent to the provider that makes the video. Only use images of people who have agreed.

AI Agent: your conversations are kept in your account so the Agent can follow the context.

Authorised members of our team access your data and creations only when needed to help you, keep the service secure, handle billing or fix a problem.

Other recipients: the white-label store you use (section 12), our professional advisers, authorities where the law requires it, and anyone who takes over Deepnia's business, under the same protections.

6. International transfers

Our providers process data in several countries, including outside your own and outside the European Union, notably in the United States. Where the law requires safeguards for these transfers, we rely on those our providers offer, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.

7. How long we keep it

  • Account and profile: as long as your account exists. When it is deleted, we delete or anonymise them, except what we must keep.
  • Purchases and credit history: as long as accounting and tax law requires, even after the account is closed.
  • Creations and files: in your account until you delete them. Deleting a creation removes it from your account; its file is erased from our storage at the latest when your account is deleted.
  • Voice recordings for cloning: deleted about 24 hours after upload if no voice was created from them; kept with a voice you keep, until you delete that voice.
  • Documents read aloud: the source document is deleted 24 hours after the job ends.
  • AI Agent conversations: as long as your account exists.
  • Technical events from social publishing: 30 days. Security records against abuse: 1 to 7 days.
  • Audience measurement: the limited period set in our measurement tools, at most 14 months.
  • Payment data meant for Meta (IP address, browser, _fbp and _fbc identifiers): deleted once the purchase is sent to Meta, after 30 days at most.
  • Error reports: the limited period set by our error-tracking provider.
  • Support messages: as long as needed to handle your request and its follow-up.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask to access your data, correct it, delete it or receive a copy in a common format, object to or limit some uses, and withdraw your consent at any time (without affecting what was done before).

You can already do this yourself: edit your profile in settings; delete creations from your account; set your notifications; disconnect your social and ad accounts; change your cookie choice through the "Cookies" link at the bottom of our pages; unsubscribe from news e-mails through the link in each one.

To delete your account or for any other request, write to support@deepnia.com from your account's e-mail address. We may ask you to confirm your identity. We reply within one month and tell you what we deleted, what we must keep (for example accounting records) and for how long.

You can also complain to the data protection authority of your country, for example the CNIL in France, the APDP in Benin, the ARTCI in Côte d'Ivoire or the CDP in Senegal.

You can remove Deepnia's access to your Google Account at any time at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.

9. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and browser storage that the service needs to work, cookies that remember your preferences and, only if you accept them, audience-measurement cookies. You can change your mind at any time through the "Cookies" link at the bottom of our pages. The Meta pixel, which measures our ads, is the exception: outside the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, it loads when you arrive and stops if you decline through that link; in those countries, it waits for your consent. We tell the region from your device's time zone; when it does not say, we wait for your consent.

Your browser's storage also keeps, on your device only, your notification identifier, drafts (questionnaires, audio stories), your generation queue, the orders already reported to Meta (so a purchase is never counted twice), and the theme and screen layout. An offline page is saved so it can show without a connection.

10. Security

We protect your data with encrypted connections (HTTPS), irreversibly hashed passwords, access limited to the people who need it and automated checks against abuse. No system is perfectly secure: if a breach puts your data at risk, we inform you and the authorities where the law requires it.

Your files are stored at addresses that cannot be guessed, but anyone who has a file's exact address can open it. Share these links only with people you trust. What you publish on a social network is public there.

11. Minors

Deepnia is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data about minors; if you think a minor has given us data, write to us and we will delete it.

12. White-label stores

Some businesses ("stores") offer AI creation under their own brand using our platform. If you use a store, the store is responsible for your data in its relationship with you, and its own privacy notice applies. It can see your e-mail address, account status, credit balances, purchases and the creations you make in its store. Payments there are collected by the store's own payment provider. We host and process this data on the store's behalf, and for our own legal obligations and the security of the service. A store may add its own measurement tools, with your consent.

13. Google user data

Deepnia's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. With Google sign-in we only receive your basic profile information: name, e-mail address and picture.

When you connect a social network account, that network's own terms and privacy policy also apply.

14. Connected apps

From some chat apps and other compatible apps, you can connect your Deepnia account (a "connected app"). You sign in on deepnia.com, see what the app will be able to do and its credit limits, then allow it. The tools offered to a connected app are for: checking your credit balance; pricing and then creating, once you accept the price, images, short videos and voice-overs from a text; following these creations and finding the ones this app started. For this, it receives access to your account tied to that app, including your e-mail address.

The requests and texts a connected app sends us are processed like a creation on deepnia.com. Before pricing a creation requested by a connected app, we have the request checked by OpenAI's moderation service and by an OpenAI model that spots requests about real people; before showing a finished image to the app, we have the image checked by the same moderation service. These checks do not apply to what you create directly on deepnia.com.

  • Each app's call log (tool used, result, duration, without the text of your requests) and the link between each creation and the app that started it: 90 days.
  • Check results, stored in a form that cannot be turned back into the text: 30 days.
  • An app unused for 90 days is disconnected; a disconnected app is removed from our records 90 days later.

You can see your connected apps, change their credit limits or disconnect them at any time in Settings → Apps: the app then loses its access. What the app does with the answers it receives is governed by its own terms and privacy policy.

15. Changes

We publish any change on this page with a new date. If a change is significant, we tell you in the app or by e-mail.
